The Making of #AnnePromiseNiParmis by Team AWESOME
As early as 2am, we were on the venue already to setup Leandro and Kriszel's Wedding Reception at the The Blue Leaf Filipinas, Sinulog Hall.
It was a long tiring day but after seeing the results and how happy the couple was. All we can say is "It's definitely worth it!" 😍

🎉 Best Year-End Party Ever 🎉
The Awesome Team went back to the 70's to celebrate and end the year with a bang!
We had BINGO. GAMES. PERFORMANCES. RAFFLES and many many giveaways. Ptr Loi-Lena Gatchalian encouraged us with a message about God's Purpose and Funny One Finalist Anthony Andres had everyone falling off their chairs laughing with his comedy and magic.
God has been faithful and good to us this 2018. We've been blessed with 194 Weddings and 88 Debuts. This year indeed taught us many valuable lessons, lessons that we'll bring this 2019 to further improve our team.
Our bold declaration that night was "Our Best Days are still ahead of us". May it come to pass by God's grace.
2019. BRING. IT. ON.

Awesome Events Team Building 2018
It's time again for our annual Team Building activities and this year we went to Eartheaven Re-Creation Center.
We conduct such activities not only to give employees fun but more importantly to teach them skills needed in effectively working in a teamwork environment.
We believe that through the annual games, our team develops efficiency, effectiveness, communication, planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution and most importantly, teamwork. In addition to that, Ptr. Loi-Lena Gatchalian taught us the value of Competence and Character.
5 Colors battled it out in the field led by each Head Coordinator of Awesome.
Ms. Anne with the Mighty Team Orange.
Ms. Sue with the Strong Team Pink.
Ms. Cha with the Relentless Team Red.
Ms. Pia with the Talented Team Yellow.
Ms. Aira / Ms. Nessa with the Fierce Team Blue.
However, through resourcefulness and grit, Team Green led by Ms. Lhen became this year's GRAND CHAMPION winning a whopping 20,000 pesos grand prize.
Thank you to all who participated in this year's games. Team work indeed makes the Dream Work!

Awesome Events Year-End Party 2017
2017 has been a roller-coaster ride for the Awesome Team,
It's been a year full of success, but it also had it's fair share of challenges and trials.
God has helped us overcome these obstacles, as we learn to grow better as a team every year.
To celebrate the wins, we held a Year-End Thanksgiving Party to honor and reward the Awesome staffs who had made 2017 one helluva ride worth taking. This has been our yearly tradition, to come together despite the busyness of the season, take time to thank the Father for all the blessings and of course, have fun, be merry and enjoy the party!!!
This year's theme was "BOHEMIAN" and everyone came dressed up with their own version of boho look. Although, some might have confused it with "HAWAIIAN", as long as it's floral, no one cares I guess 😉
Pastor Loi Gatchalian of Praise Christian Fellowship - Manila shared an inspiring message about thanksgiving.
Interactive Party and Game Show Games made the program fun specially the
Pera or Bayong segment where Louise Concillo of Team Focal Shot won the grand prize of 10k instead of the 1 kilo kamatis. Lucky guy!
Raffle Prizes and Special Awards were given and the Employee of the Year was awarded to Joed Bermudo from the Designs Team.
The highlight of the evening however, was the parody of Showtime's Ms. Q and A where straight men employees from each department dressed up as beauty queens and battled it out with their wits and humor. The ladies were all beautiful but at the end of the competition, Jamil from the Catering Department aka Jamilla Wurtzbach received the coveted crown and a whopping 10k.
After the program, it was all dancing and partying up to 4am.
Every year, the Awesome family just keeps growing and growing and we are just thankful to all the Awesome individuals who in their own small ways contribute to every event's Big success.
To God be all the glory as we declare that our best days are still ahead of us!

Awesome Events Team Building 2017
Once a year, it has been our tradition to take a quick break from work and do some Team Building activities. This 2017, we went to Phillip's Sanctuary and had a basketball league. Hopefully, this will fan into flame great relationships and teamwork for the Awesome Team that will result into excellence and great service to our clients.
Why AWESOME?
One of my favorite TV show is "How I met your Mother",
and one character I love the most is Barney Stinson. Every episode, you will always hear him blurt out his favorite expression, "Awesome!" I found it cool and catchy, so I decided to call myself the "Awesome Host" (Self-Proclaimed) After that, whenever clients would call, text or leave a comment on my Facebook page, they always address me as "Awesome Mark" or "Mr. Awesome". It became a catchy screen name. Thus, Awesome Events by Mark was born and the rest was history! It's that just simple. Thank you for inspiring me Barney Stinson :) |
Finally, I got married already... In a Star Wars way!
So after countless Weddings I've been in, it's finally my turn to tie-the-knot.
My girlfriend and I were 5 years together, we met during my college instructor stint.
She was my co-teacher, during faculty breaks, I would put Chuckie Drink and Brownies at her desk,
which I bought from the Mercury Drug store near the school. That's how I got her YES!
Early part of our relationship, she had this opportunity to work in Singapore as a SPED Teacher so 3 years of our relationship was long-distance,
I would go to SG every 3 months and she would come here to the Philippines during special Holidays.
I am thankful to God because we survived the distance
Probably because I was busy building Awesome too and really inspired to make it here in the PH,
so that I could eventually ask her to stay here instead.
After her contract ended, she was given a chance to extend her stay, AWESOME was blooming at that moment,
so I gathered my courage and asked her to give up the SG Dream and just help me with the business.
Luckily, she agreed!
Eventually, I proposed to her, asked her hand in marriage from her parents and the rest is history.
We made a poem out of our LDR love story called "Ikaw ang Aking Tadhana" and made it as background to our Ilocos Prenup below:

Awesome Events Year-End Party 2016
2016 has been another great year for Awesome. Sure, there were trials, tests and problems along the way.
But by God's grace, we made it through the year. So for that, we are thankful.
Thankful to God who sustains the success, the One who provides the blessings.
Thankful to all the clients who trusted us with the most special day of their life.
Thankful to all the amazing people of Awesome, specially those behind the scenes.
Thankful to the trials and lessons we learned this year so that we could further improve ourselves.
We are truly grateful!
This year's Thanksgiving Christmas Party we invited Ptr. Patrick Mercado of Victory Fort to give some words of encouragement and inspiration.
Also joining us this year were Agsunta Band, Ex Battalion Music, John Neil Torrente Roa, Skusta Clee, and Ms. Toni Fowler adding fun and entertainment to the party.
The most awaited part of the night, of course, was the AWESOME GOT TALENT segment where awesome employees and staffs showcased their talent and unique performances, battling it out for Php20,000 Grand Prize. And one of our videographer Wilmer, finally proposed to his girlfriend Angelica.
Also, another highlight of the evening 😊
It was really a wonderful and fun night for everyone,
A well-deserved break this peak December season. Everyone just enjoying each other's company, drinking, being merry and having the time of their life.
Looking forward for a great and awesome 2017!

COFFEE ANYONE?
Oh, we all love Starbucks. There's something about this overpriced coffee that makes us crave for more. We all experienced hearing a Barista shouting "One Mochachino Frappucino for (insert your name here)" How about hearing that during a Wedding day? Marvin and Dianne brought a Starbucks Booth during their special day. This was made possible because Marvin is working as a Starbucks Supervisor at Resorts World. Guess who's first in line? :) |
The "AWESOMIZED" Pose
Ladies and Gents, let me teach you the signature pose of the Awesome Team... the "Awesomized" Pose!!!!
1. Using your Point Finger and Middle finger, execute a letter "A" shape pose (More of like an inverted letter "V")
2. There should be at least 1 inch of space between Point Finger and Middle Finger.
3. Smile for the camera and be Awesome!!!
2. There should be at least 1 inch of space between Point Finger and Middle Finger.
3. Smile for the camera and be Awesome!!!
Some incorrect ways of doing the "Awesomized" Pose...
Exhibit 1 shows the Groom pointing just 1 finger downwards... Again, it should be 2 fingers, the Middle and the Point Finger.
Exhibit 2 shows the Groom using 3 fingers...Again, 2 Fingers only!!! :)
Exhibit 3 shows the couple getting it right by using 2 fingers. Almost perfect, however, they did it sidewards.
The essence of the "Awesomized" pose is to show the letter "A", the first letter of the word AWESOME, so it should be done downwards.
The essence of the "Awesomized" pose is to show the letter "A", the first letter of the word AWESOME, so it should be done downwards.
Here is again the correct way to do it...
So there you have it folks. With more practice and training, you will be able to perform the "Awesomized" Pose with ease in no time :)
Awesome Events Year-End Party 2015
To celebrate the blessing of having 264 events for 2015, we held a Thanksgiving Party for all Awesome employees.
A day without work, a day of fun and celebration for everyone.
We had special performances from special guest rappers Zaito and Shernan. Sachzna Laparan, Team Horror, Cong TV were also present to party with us.
Aside from the raffle prizes and give aways, the night's main event was the "That's my Bae" Awesome Edition featuring the hunks among the employees.
Esay representing the Sound System group won the 1st prize of Php10,000.
It was indeed one merry night to remember. We thank all employees behind the Awesome Team.
2015 has been challenging for us, but we turned challenges into successes--thanks to everyone who have worked hard to help Awesome Events thrive.
We thank all customers and clients for trusting our team. Without you, we will not be who we are today.
We thank God for the given opportunity to serve each and everyone of you 😊

The Best Job in the World
Before I was the self-proclaimed Awesome Guy, I was working as a call center agent for 4 yrs. Well, in those days, life was pretty boring and ordinary.
I remember dragging myself everyday going to work, answering calls like a robot, go to sleep then drag myself to work again. It was routinary.
I left the call center industry to pursue a career in teaching and was given a privilege to teach English in a College near Monumento, Caloocan.
I loved the teaching part but was bored with the recording the grades part of it, so after 2 semesters, I decided to quit teaching.
Luckily, I was able to discover this job when my Tita needed someone to host a kiddie party she organized. Since, I was into public speaking and teaching, I decided to give it a try. I was really nervous the first time but I definitely enjoyed it. It was then that I discovered that I have this gift of making people laugh and at ease during events.

Audience interaction - I think this is the key in having a fun event.
I always make sure that the crowd is always involved in what's happening on stage.
After emcee-ing for quite some time, I decided to build my own coordination team.
After the coordination team has been trained and established, we tried offering complete and affordable Wedding and Debut Packages and we were overwhelmed by the great response of clients.
With joy in our hearts, we just love serving people using the gifts that God gave us.
This is definitely something that I want to do for the rest of my life.
The best job in the world!

ASTIG MOMENT!!!
Every Debut I host, I always try to find the guy who's being linked to the Debutante, Her childhood sweetheart, school crush, torpe suitor or significant other, just to add some kilig factor to the event. We do a specific activity with these guys (cannot disclose the details of the activity) then the reward, with parent's permission of course, is a sweet kiss to the Debutante's cheeks...ONLY!
"ANSWERED PRAYER"
While coordinating a Wedding, I saw this friendly reminder from the Local Parish Church.
Makes perfect sense :)
"FAMILY AFFAIR"
A day after the double celebration of Ivy and Jay's Party. The Delos Santos Siblings posted their feedback on my facebook page.
Grabe! Overwhelming and heart-warming ang comments :)

They also gave me a big box of Ferrero which I ate some before I took the picture (Über excited)
Clients that became friends.
Thank you so much Delos Santos Family!

"J's on their feet"
I really love it when couples think out of the box gimmicks to make their Wedding more memorable.
In one of our recent Wedding, we had a groom who's an avid fan and a collector of Jordan Shoes.
On their Wedding Day, they decided to wear Jordan 11 Breds.
It fits perfectly to their motif of Black and Red..
Our cool couple Charles and Lalet!!!

CHANGING OF THE SHOES
One highlight during the latest Debut that we had is the "Changing of the Shoes". The Debutante's father switches her shoes, from her Chuck Taylor Sneakers to High heels. It played a symbolic role in the birthday girl's transformation in the eyes of the guests from girl to young woman.

"Long Distance Wedding Planning"
Julie works abroad so that leaves Mac in charge of the Wedding preparation while the bride is still in Florida. Come the Wedding day, and seeing Mac's tears falling down on his face during Julie's Bridal March.. He must've been thinking "All the preparation was really worth it"

CELEBRITY CELEBRATION
We had the chance to rub elbows with these celebrities recently and be part of their Birthday Celebrations.
Below is Nadine Lustre's 21st Surprise Birthday. She was very accommodating when we took the beauty shots even though we know she's tired already from a mall show earlier at Olongapo. There is just so much beauty in her simplicity. Indeed, this generation's Rising Star, whom we cannot compare to anyone else. It was really an honor to be part of this gorgeous, radiant and one of a kind lady's simple celebration. |
Above is Sam Concepcion's 22nd Birthday followed by his Birthday Concert held at Edsa, Shangrila.

It was a great opportunity to learn from the best of the best, Titus came home with a new perspective and techniques in shooting.
He plans to apply it to our Same Day Edit Videos .
Special thanks to our big boss Jorel De Castro of Prime Focus for this wonderful privilege.
